Debate Club
French moralist Joseph Joubert once said: “It is better to debate a question without settling it then to settle a question without debating it.” The debate club will teach you just that. There is no question that has only one answer, and thus, finding the right one becomes the challenge. In a comfortable and open forum, you will learn how to craft arguments and express ideas in a logical and convincing manner. A wide variety of topics will be covered, as well as the rules and framework for participating in both formal and informal debates. Students will eventually form teams and participate in debate contests in school and against other institutes as well.

This circle focuses on the countries of Canada and America, and will examine societal and cultural traditions, as well as important events in their past. An interactive approach will be taken, and thus, music, movies and sports studies will combine to create a well-rounded description of these wonderful places.
The Wonderful World of Stamps
Enter the colorful, vibrant world of postage stamps. Learn about their history and significance in the global community. Many other topics will be covered with the aid of stamps, including: Art, sports, animal/plant studies, technology, geography, fairytales, and more. Although students are encouraged to bring in their own stamp collections, this is not mandatory, as this course is intended for non-collectors as well.
